We had a great time leading the sketch session during the Architecture + The City Festival! Thanks to Annabelle with SF AIA and the MakeArt team for hosting us, bringing all the cool art supplies, and being a welcoming group of people.
The event's success is dependent on great participants, and there was no shortage. Thanks to Richard Parker (450 Architects) for giving us in-depth history on the development of the park & the neighborhood. The park's funding was donated by residents near the park, and provided for personal to watch over the park for the next 50 years! The attendees who made their way to the park on a lovely day were also eager to give their sketching skills a flex. Such a great experience, and looking forward to next year!

We're in the Design phase! One of the more exciting phases in the architectural process is when a great client has a clear vision of their new space, and we get to help bring it to life! Design typically involves starting from a rough fit plan, working with the Landlord, and brainstorming with the client on how to create a space that fulfills their goals.
We'll keep you updated as this project progresses! We're excited to be a part of the Architecture + the City Festival, and will be out leading the sketch session this Tuesday 9/13. Please come and join us as we soak up the new Francisco park. Richard Parker, principal at 450 Architects, who worked on the park will give us some insight on the development of the park, and Marie Deininger, with the Museum of Craft + Design, will be out there with the MakeArt Van to provide sketching materials.
